About

I’m a mid-twenties Indian living in Washington, DC in the United States. You could get to know a lot more about me by just by reading my blog. But if that’s not your thing, I do have a couple of other places you could get to know more about me, though they will likely be less frequently updated than the blog.

  • I’m on Facebook, but you will need to friend me to see more than basic information. Don’t worry, I won’t bite if you do – just tell me you came this way.
  • I have a Twitter account.
  • My old blog used to be here, but the contents have since been moved over here.
  • I used to write a joint blog with my friend Koh, since we are both fascinated by the same things, but it turned out people really don’t want to read much text on blogs, and we had lots of text. Maybe I’ll move some of the “draft” posts over here and publish them rather belatedly, since I think the analysis is still correct, just dated.

If you need to contact me, you can email me at this disposable email address, for the bots to chew on. Or you could leave a comment.

Also a few other things:

  • Your privacy on this website: You don’t have to register on this blog to post… but if you do, it’s a lot easier to attribute comments and respond to them. If you do register, my website will set a cookie on your computer to identify you. You can block the cookie if you want or delete it, and I won’t know. That’s totally fine by me. I also use Google’s Analytics and the built-in Blog Stats that comes with the blogging software to try to figure out what’s popular and what’s not, and whether any one is reading anything on the website. I can’t identify you using that information, and I won’t try to even if I could. So, in short, if you want to be the anonymous resident genius, you will certainly remain anonymous.
  • You and your comments: You are welcome to post anything you want, anonymously or not, and I will likely keep it here. What will get deleted is spam – particularly if you link irrelevantly just to get links. All that said, please be courteous, keep your profanity to a minimum, and remember you have the privilege to post here, not the absolute right. So, if you really become tiresome, I reserve the right to ban you from ever commenting here, and delete your comment(s) if so, but most likely I won’t.
  • My mistakes: Take everything here as-is; there are no warranties or guarantees at all. If you suffer any type of loss due to something I said or suggested you try or do, sorry… but this is not a peer-reviewed or fact-checked website and you’re on your own.
  • If you feel insulted or picked on: Talk to me, tell me your side of the story. Don’t jump to conclusions – I could be mistaken and/or angry, both of which can be alleviated with conversation and time.
  • This is a personal blog. I don’t speak for any one – not family, not friends or acquaintance, not my employers past, present or future. Don’t assume I speak for any one except myself.
  • Exercise common sense at all times.
