Caveat Emptor: MacX DVD Ripper Pro is a scam. The software, which can run between $8 and $40 depending on whatever “deal” the company behind it is running, fails to rip DVDs at all, including non-CSS protected home videos. The interface looks like it was taken from a mid-1990s Windows 95 program, and it keeps opening windows in your browser to teach you how to use the program, despite trying to click out of them.
And no, though they claim they will buy and fix any DVDs that do not work, rest assured not a single reported DVD has been fixed.
In short: it’s a scam. Avoid.
